This event during Sexual Violence Awareness Month is open to the public and from year to year different combinations of students, faculty and staff speaking abut healing from sexual violence.

"A Time to Heal," the title and theme for the dinner, was inspired by the Scripture passage from Ecclesiastes (2:1-8) that says, "There is an appointed time for everything... a little to be silent and a time to speak... and a time to heal."

Meals are important times to share stories and hospitality. Sometimes the stories are complicated, painful and and hard to hear. However, gathering for this meal is a step toward liberation through the comfort of shared stories, experiences and the challenge to go forth to do God's healing work in the community.
