Take Back the Night is an annual event when the Notre Dame and Saint Mary's communities to come together and break the silence that often surrounds sexual assault and relationship violence. The two campuses have collaborated on this event for over a decade. Take Back the Night provides both campuses the opportunity to publicly take a stand against violence.
The event begins with a kick off near Lake Marian at Saint Mary's College at 5:30pm, with a walkover to the Grotto. The candlelight prayer vigil begins at the Grotto at 6pm, leading into a march around Notre Dame's campus. The march culminates with a Speak Out and community dinner at 7pm in the Oak Room of South Dining Hall.
